Yue studied and developed his artistic practice across Inner Mongolia, Beijing, and the United Kingdom. His work is shaped by folk dance, contemporary performance, and embodied research, with a particular interest in ritual transformation, identity, cultural memory, and the spiritual presence of the body.
His practice brings together Chinese folk dance, contemporary movement, ritual performance, and body-based visual art. Through choreography, live performance, and video-based work, Yue explores how the body carries memory, belief, emotion, and the passage of time.
His performance experience spans China, the United Kingdom, Singapore, France, and South Korea, across stage, festival, competition, television, and exhibition contexts. Yue’s current practice focuses on creating original performance works that connect movement, image, costume, and space.
